As part of the announcement, DmC was re-released for Xbox 360 and PS3 as a downloadable title for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network platforms respectively, alongside an expansion called DmC Devil May Cry HD Collection. In September 2015, Dante was added to the roster of Halo 5: Guardians, making him the first playable non-human character in the franchise. A playable demo was released in September 2013. The new game was developed at Capcom's Osaka studio, Kojima Productions. The announcement was released at the 2013 E3 trade show in June. The new game was to feature a more cinematic style than previous games in the series and will be a prequel set before DmC, featuring Nero, Dante's brother. As a result of the successful release of DmC, Capcom announced a new title, Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition, and revealed that they had begun developing a new title, the seventh mainline Devil May Cry game. On 19 June 2013, the North American version was released for PC. Two weeks later, the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows versions were released in Australia. On, the European version was released as an early-access title for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A month later, the PlayStation 3 version was released as an early-release title for the PlayStation Network. The game was released in North America on 29 March 2013.
